<p>This book delves into the critical issue of cancer as one of the leading causes of death for women across diverse backgrounds highlighting the alarming racial disparities across healthcare for women that affect mortality rates for Black Indigenous and Women of Color.</p><p>Though heart disease is the number one (21.8%) leading cause of death for females of all races origins and ages cancer is a close second at 20.7%. The experiences of women in cancer range across identities and the systems in which they exist. Cancer does not only impact the diagnosed but all those around them.
